Plant Manufacturing
Our level of experience spans widely through the different industries facilitating the manufacturing parts or sections of industrial equipment from raw material phase into installation and commissioning. However, this is not our limitation to our capability. Having a wide range of experience in the multi-dimensional plant production and manufacturing environment.
Our objective is not only to deliver quality and exceptional workmanship, but to promote long steady relationships with our customers with the aim of being chosen as the preferred supplier for the required project or contract. Our greatest asset is the relationships that are forged with our skilled technical staff and with customers. This is evident with our consecutive three years award for being “Best Engineering Company in Zululand” …an accolade that the Cureton team can be proud of.
The workshops are equipped to handle abnormally sized equipment fabrication with a towering height of 5 meters, and overhead crane of 10T and an access path which spans 10m length, an easy task for movements into and out of the workshops. The property span outside the workshops has suitable storage capacity should the dimensions of the assembled product be greater than the existing fabrication width or height.
Our capacity for production is therefore not limited to any specific tonnage.
In-House Repairs and Service
We would like to think of ourselves as a ‘One Stop Shop’. The benefits of having a multi dimensional workshop are prevalent in control methods aiming to reduce sudden pricing spikes, minimizing movement of material and products, and preventing damage in transit, as well as keeping costs of the products competitive to industry markets and the elimination of delays in delivery.
The machine shop is equipped with a boring mill, 3 lathes, a drilling machine, a slotting machine, radial arm drill, automatic machining centre and a press.
Our belief system is to eliminate any unknown variables that will deter or risk the process of production thereby keeping a limitation to 3rd party contractors and services. Any 3rd party subcontractors have to follow regulations as per Engineering standards (ECSA), or whichever discipline is required for the project.
Further to this we provide 24-hour breakdown service for plant emergencies making accessibility to resources a smooth and convenient process.
We do however promote small business development by ensuring a guided structured process in the method tasks required for a specific project at any point.
Site Installation and Maintenance
With the dedicated teams having prior experience, knowledge, and absorptive training whilst under mentorship and guidance from Cureton’s management team, they form the backbone to completing all projects with excellence and due diligence.
Training facilitators that are utilized are endorsed by the Department of Higher Education aligned with the appropriate development of skills. This is to ensure an integration of past and present methods of tasks thereby enabling a 21st century output in terms of safety, quality, and productivity.
Methodology, Risk Assessments, and Safety procedures are brought into practice before starting site works. This ensures a blend of understanding, acceptance, and willingness to produce the targeted results for projects that we have been awarded.

Health and Safety Policy
As a family owned business, each employee is considered to be part of the bigger family and treated with fairness where value is placed to each individual’s contribution to skills and expertise. It is for this reason that our Health and safety policy provides stringent guidelines to ensure that every individual engaged in any task may return to their families safely.
Our responsibility and accountability go beyond the legal safety requirement as we believe in caring and treating each individual with respect. The process is demonstrated by open lateral and vertical communication discussions on a regular basis and more frequently when the need arises. A regular stocktake of all environmental conditions that staff are exposed to are evaluated on a weekly basis in order to derive a training needs analysis to regulate appropriate training according to our internal matrix chart.
As an ambassador of safe working standards, our dedication to prevention of accidents and incidents is a clear indicator. Since the inception of the changed management structure in 2005, CECSA is proud to have maintained a zero fatality and disability injury target.
Quality System Policy
Cureton has achieved SABS accreditation in 2007 with maintenance of the system done throughout the operational and all functional departments over the past 13 years.
The most recent system, ISO3834 part(ii) is currently under implementation since August 2020 with the expectation of full accreditation before end of December 2020.
